Does the trembling in my eye mean i'm destined for parkinson's disease? i'm 23 yrs old? |
my mom's brother and sister have parkinson's disease. sometimes i get these episodes that last 1-3 weeks where my eyelids sometimes tremble for a few seconds several times a day, could this be a sign that i'll have parkinson's in the future? i'm only 23 right now, but i'm worried that these small signs may mean future problems. thanks No, it's not an indicator of Parkinson's at all. (applying logic strictly, it doesn't indicate you won't: it's neutral) Batches of lid trembling are very common... check back on the optical pages for lots of similar experiences and questions. (It comes up almost as often as "floaters") Fatigue, stress, and possible marginal potassium deficiency are the main factors. More sleep, chilling out and drinking fresh tomato juice the recommended courses of action. (bananas if you dislike tomato juice) I seriously doubt it, usually the eye spasms from strain, so try getting some more sleep if you haven't been sleeping much or just try not to tire your eyes. Just relax there is no good living your life in fear, just live your life as well as you can and whatever happens happens. when my brother was about 10, he used to have these stange tremblings of his eyes so he went to the doctors and they said that he probably just injured his eye and/or his eye muscles. They gave him these eye drop things to make sure the lens of eyes were not severely damaged. After a couple of weeks, the tremblings stopped and that was that. If your eyes don't stop trembling in a few days/weeks, then definitely go see a doctor. |
