6 weeks after careract surgery I just ended taking the drops. I find that my eye feels tender and uncomfortable, a bit irritated. I think I saw the scar on my cornea when looking in the mirror, and that seems to be the area that does not feel normal, the way the other eye feels. Is this part of the healing process? Touching the eyelid over that area feels tender. Is that normal? My MD said I am healed; should I report my symptoms?. yes report back to the eye infirmary and tell them the trouble i had a cateract removed about the same time six or seven weeks ago and mine does not hurt at all it is a little sticky and it gets blurred sometimes but when i blink and it clears the vision is perfect Yea, you should definitely report your symptoms. Even if it's natural, it's better to report it just in case. I recommend you go back to your doctor and make sure. My grandmom had two cataract surgeries (one in each eye) and I don't remember her having any issues like that. Better safe than sorry. Eyes are VERY sensitive and not something to be taken lightly. Not to worry you, but in the event that it's not natural, you could even end up losing your vision if left untreated. See your doctor again juuuuust in case. Good luck! |
