Eye color changing contact lenses?

I really need contacts, I've never had them before. I am very interested in the contacts that change your eye color. I have blond hair and dark blue eyes, and I am wondering how the light green color contacts would look? Has anybody had success with this color, or another color? Are they effective, do they really change your eye color nicely?

i have green contacts and am also blond hair and blue eyed. I love they make my eyes look. Though you can definately tell that is not the color that i was born with. I do have to say i was weirded out by looking at myself in the mirror at first but i think you will like them and be very hppy once you get used to them
My sister has the green ones and they look really nice. She has blonde hair too. It is crazy how it changes the color with just some lenses. I have a light blue to bring out the blue eyes I already have. I suggest trying green I think it would look good.
I have green eyes and got blue contact lenses. It was very strange looking at myself when I first got them, but the problem with those type of contact lenses is that they are thinner and aren't made to be worn more than a day at a time. They lose moisture and can become dry and uncomfortable quickly. As much as I liked the new color (and it did change the color effectively), I much prefer extended wear lenses for comfort. You may want to try both kinds before making a final decision. Most places have trial pairs and will let you take your time before buying 6 months or a years worth of lenses. Hope this helps!
Personal experience.
Go to your eye doctor and ask to try some samples of the colored lenses, they should have some samples in stock. Depending on what brand of contacts you wear, you may or may not need to have a short exam done. Different brands of contacts have different base curve measurements, so your doctor will have to determine which brand of colored lenses will fit your eyes. Your vision with colored lenses will most likely not be as sharp as it is with clear lenses, and if you have a strong astigmatism and need toric lenses, colored toric contact lenses can get pretty pricey, so be prepared.
