| *Contrast Sensitivity>>>eye symptoms |
My cat is suffering from allergies. Runny eyes and sneezing what can i give to help relieve her symptoms? |
Is there anything over the counter i can buy that might help? nothing that you can buy over the counter from drug stores just go to the vet when i first got my kitten she sneezed and had runny eyes i went to the vet and you can get pills you crush and put in food or a liquid that you put in her eyes she is fine she just has a cold.. honestly probably not allergies. It is probably a virus(ie. herpes or chlamydia). Contact your vet for meds etc I am a vet assistant It could be a cold or it could be something else. There's a chronic condition that cats can catch and will be susceptible to for the rest of their lives that mirrors the symptoms of a plain cold. It's not life-threatening, but it should be treated by a vet. But before you take your cat in to the vet, let them know the symptoms so that they can make arrangements to isolate the cat when you get there. They don't want the other cats in the office to catch it too. (this is all based on past experience with my cat) could be an upper respiratory infection, you should see a vet asap. cats don't just get sick or get allergies out of the blue. it's usually caused by a virus and will need vet Rx. Definately needs a vet's attention because it may not be allergies; it sounds like it's an upper respiratory infection. If left untreated, serious complications could result. For the runny eyes though, take a warm cloth or even cotton ball actually and very gently wipe AWAY from the cat's eyes to remove the gunk. I've done that plenty of times. No over the counter meds that I know of. You should never use any unless you consult a vet first. 6 cats, raised many since birth, foster home |
