I'm a doctor which is best to take speciality in orthopedics,ophthalmology or urosurgery? |
I'm a doctor and i would like to take a speciality in one of these branches , orthopedics,ophthalmology or urosurgery which do you think is best in it's income and which is the most wanted and desirable amounge doctors,medical students and people around the world, I prefer medical and surgical seniors , specialists, sergions,doctors and medical students,thank you for help. I think if your only criteria is income and prestige then you got into medicine for the wrong reasons. Source(s): med student urosurgery this is the best why?? Because i said so... hello i'm a med student. i asked the same question weeks before now and i got a lot of favorable answers. though im still not decided on what specialization to pursue. id like to suggest that you wait until you have your internship. when you had your clinical exposure then thats the only time you can decide on what to pursue. goodluck.. Have you done your internship yet? Do you have enough electives to rotate through all 3? I would say orthopedics, but I am biased (I'm a podiatrist.) Each has its ups and downs. Talk with attendings, new residents, and senior residents in all three fields and see what they say. Urosurgery would be my least favorite of the 3 above, but I have had the least exposure to it. The pelvis is a busy place with lots of nerves and vessels in it. I had to scrub in on several pelvic procedures when I rotated through general surgery and i did not enjoy it much.....but, different strokes for different folks. Hey doc, you might want to work on your spelling before you commit to operating on people. Just a thought. Hi, I'm a med student too. I believe plastics and cardio are the most wanted specialities. But from those three, I would choose ophtalmology - it has a good income.. My second choice would be ortho I guess - but it demands too much phsically effort.. There is no "best or worst speciality" in medicine, you really should choose the one you are interested in.. Best wishes.. |
